You’re not doing it wrong. You just need a clear path.
The feed that used to settle them now buys you forty minutes. You’re rocking for an hour, transferring like a bomb technician, and still up at 1am, 3am, 4:30am. You’ve read the forums and tried three methods in a week. Here’s what Georgia tells every family: sleep improves with clarity and consistency, not effort. Calm Nights gives you the clarity, in order. You bring the consistency.
Six steps, in order
Understand
How sleep worksThe general education behind the programme: sleep pressure, sleep cycles, why wake-ups happen and what crying is telling you.
Check fit & readiness
Is this right for us, right now?Who Calm Nights is for, who it isn’t for, and the boxes to tick before night one.
Prepare
3–7 daysRoom, feed, routine, key phrase and team plan — the quiet changes that make night one easier.
Choose a gentle starting point
Two options, three questionsPick “Stay Close” or “Step Out & Check” in a few minutes, then commit to it for 14 nights.
Implement
14 nightsThe bedtime routine, your starting point night by night, and the same calm response for wake-ups and early mornings.
Review & troubleshoot
Nights 4, 7 and 14Three short checkpoints tell you whether to keep going, adjust, or bring in personalised support.
Two starting points. Three questions.
No complicated quizzes. Three short questions help you choose the approach you can repeat, the same way, every night — because the one you can follow consistently will always beat the “perfect” one you can’t.
Stay Close
You stay beside the crib with touch and voice, and move a little further away every few nights until you’re out the door.
Step Out & Check
Key phrase, a calm pause, then brief, loving, identical checks — for children who get more worked up when a parent stays.
Four ways to work with Thyme4Sleep
Each one exists for a different family. Calm Nights is the middle path: more structure than a single protocol, but self-guided and general rather than written for your child.

Good to know
Is this cry-it-out?
No. Georgia doesn’t use or teach extinction (cry-it-out). Both starting points keep you present and responsive — you comfort, you reassure, you come back. Some protest is normal when anything changes, and the programme shows you how to tell protest from distress and how to respond to each.
Is this the same as a 1:1 sleep plan?
No — and that’s deliberate. A 1:1 plan is written for your child after Georgia reviews your intake form, and it includes naps and a daily schedule. Calm Nights is general education and a general implementation framework that you apply yourself. It’s a great fit for typical sleep-association challenges; if your situation is more complex, a 1:1 package is the better investment.
How is this different from Reset to Rest?
From Reset to Rest ($37) is for families whose bedtime is already fairly calm, but who still have night wakings. It gently reduces one night-time support, one small step at a time, without changing how your child falls asleep. Calm Nights ($97) changes how your child falls asleep — starting at bedtime, then overnight and in the early morning — over a structured 14 nights.
What age is it for?
Healthy children from 6 months to around 4 years. Under 6 months, or with medical or developmental needs? Georgia’s 1:1 packages (including Specialised Sleep Support) are the right fit.
Does it include naps or a schedule?
No. Naps and daily schedules depend heavily on your individual child, so Georgia keeps them for her 1:1 packages, where she can tailor them properly.
Can I message Georgia while I do it?
Calm Nights is self-guided, so there’s no messaging support. You’ll get check-in emails at nights 4, 7 and 14 that point you to the right next step. If you’d like Georgia beside you, the Standard package includes two weeks of email and text support.
What if it isn’t working?
The programme has three checkpoints that tell you whether to keep going, adjust, or get personalised support. If you move to 1:1, bring your tracker — Georgia will build on what you’ve already done.
How do I access it?
Instantly. After checkout you’re taken straight to your programme online. It’s saved to your browser for two years, and you can print the programme and workbook or save them as PDFs.
Calm Nights is general education for healthy children and isn’t medical advice. Always check with your pediatrician before making changes to your child’s sleep or feeding.
